Skinny Fat Details:
Celebrity Lola Young shows off (pics above) her genetic scientific Body Type Three (BT3) shape figure/physique during her time off. The full development of no less than multiple thoracic, lumbar, and sacrum vertebrae and related muscles/muscle mass is debatable. The candid images reveal likely skinny fat (lack of genetic muscle, IE cellulite, thin fat, normal weight obesity) on no less than her upper back, middle back, lower back, arms, chest, midriff, stomach, love handles, buttocks, upper legs, and middle legs, possibly indicating at least slightly underdeveloped muscle relative to her thoracic, lumbar, and sacrum vertebrae, maybe even her cervical and coccyx vertebrae.
Science recognizes that one pound of muscle mass burns six calories daily, but one pound of regular fat (white fat/yellow fat/excess fat) and/or skinny fat only burns two to three calories daily. Which directly affects metabolism (the more skinny fat and/or regular fat, the slower the metabolism). The likely moderate-high to severe skinny fat — IE moderately underdeveloped muscles/mass across a large portion of her BT3 — is a disadvantage that is less prone in Body Type Two’s (BT2), and minimal to non-existent in Body Type One’s (BT1), female or male.
Diet, exercise, lifestyle, metabolic rate (BMR), and BMI matter. But so do genes/genetics/DNA. As she continues to age, it will be interesting to see how well FKA Twigs maintains her body shape figure/physique. Is she really a Body Type Four (BT4)?
Bio:
Grammy Award-winning musician Lola Young displays (pics above) her Body Type Three shape/figure while on vacation. Matriculating at the BRIT school when she was ten years old, she began writing songs the following year. By the age of fourteen, she was singing at open mic nights. In 2016, she competed in the Open Mic UK singing competition and won the under-16 category, subsequently appearing on CBBC’s Got What It Takes?. Attracting the attention of Amy Winehouse’s former manager, Nick Shymansky, as well as Nick Huggett (who previously signed Adele), she signed with the duo.
She dropped her debut single 6 Feet Under in 2019, while also releasing her first extended play (EP) Intro that same year. The songs Pick Me Up, Woman, and None for You followed in 2020, along with her second EP Renaissance. Signing with Island Records in 2021, she released the singles Bad Tattoo, Blue, and Fake as well as her third EP After Midnight.
With her star on the rise, she made her first television appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden (2021, NBC). Between 2022 and 2023, she dropped a stream of songs including So Sorry, Stream of Consciousness, Annabel’s House, Don’t Hate Me, What Is It About Me, and Money, which culminated in the release of her initial studio album My Mind Wanders and Sometimes Leaves Completely (2023).
Grammy Award-Winning Singer & Songwriting Musician Lola Young Body Type Three
In 2024, her second studio album This Wasn’t Meant for You Anyway became available. It included the hit song Messy, for which she won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Solo Performance. The song also went Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) platinum, twice. It also reached Number One on the UK, Australian (ARIA), and Ireland singles charts, while achieving number fifteen on the Billboard Hot 100 in the USA. She performed the song on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (2024, NBC).
As well, she was Grammy Award-nominated for Best New Artist in 2026. To date, she has released three studio albums, including I’m Only F**king Myself.
Lola Young’s demanding music and live concert responsibilities, along with diet, exercise, and lifestyle, likely help maintain her body shape/figure by increasing her metabolic rate, thus burning more calories to keep excess regular white/yellow fat weight at bay. She has been candid about her health issues, including being diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder & attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), developing a cyst on her vocal cords that required surgery, and struggling with sobriety (cocaine). Although not publicly confirmed, she is likely bisexual, as hinted at in her song F**k Everyone and other comments she has made on social media.
