Paradigm Shift

This isn’t a future warning; it’s a diagnosis of the present — the climate emergency is already here. Earth faces “rapid destabilization” as a result of climate change, an international group of scientists find in the latest edition of an annual checkup of the planet’s “vital signs.”

What if the story of The Great Flood and Noah’s Ark is not a myth, but real, and science can prove the 157-meter-long (515 feet) boat-shaped formation in eastern Turkey near Mount Ararat is the Ark’s final resting place? How will it change history?

How a path has opened up toward a radically different but still science-based picture of reality, one that takes consciousness as ontologically fundamental and celebrates human spiritual experiences and capacities.

Alongside Neanderthal and Denisovan DNA, human genomes preserve traces of two other relatives no one can identify. Neither has a sequenced genome or a confirmed fossil, and part of one may be sitting in your DNA.

We’re not just changing gradually over time; there are some really dramatic changes. Researchers assessed thousands of different molecules in people from age 25 to 75 — as well as their microbiomes — and found that they do not shift in chronological fashion.

For most of modern history, we’ve treated consciousness as the ultimate private property: a little glowing sphere of “me” sealed behind the eyes, owned and operated by a single brain. But over the last few decades, science has started to chip away at that picture.
